“A Catechism for Aspiring Amnesiacs” Placed on Bram Stoker Awards® Preliminary Ballot

On Sunday I received the news that my story “A Catechism for Aspiring Amnesiacs” had been placed on the Bram Stoker Awards® preliminary ballot in the short fiction category.  “A Catechism…” appeared in the March 2012 issue of the Lovecraft eZine.

It’s important to note that this doesn’t make me and/or the story a “nominee”. (Stories are nominated in the next stage of the process.  The preliminary ballot is distributed on February 1, voting concludes on February 15, and the resulting nominees are announced on February 23.)  Nonetheless, I’m pleased “A Catechism for Aspiring Amnesiacs” has reached this stage.

Congratulations to all the other folks on the preliminary ballot and best wishes to everyone as we move forward in the process.
