Minority Characters As A “Selling Point” In Fiction (From Publisher’s Weekly Genreville Blog)

I was suprised not to see more discussion of this blog entry from Rose Fox on Publisher’s Weekly Genreville Blog.

Here’s a quick excerpt:  “Selling points are great, and outreach to minority readers is great, but if a book is being sold to me on any other basis than the quality of writing, my skepticism automatically engages.”
