About Nicole Cushing

second try with bright pic“The confidence and expertise so blatantly evident in Nicole Cushing’s writing is astonishing.”

– Thomas Ligotti, in reference to Children of No One

“(Children of No One is) an absolutely stunning debut novella that will make you cringe, and most importantly will make you think… If you read one debut this year, this should be the one you read.”

“Fun Facts” About Nicole

Nicole cites Thomas Ligotti, Gary Braunbeck, and Phillip K. Dick as some of her influences.

She frequently writes while listening to the music of Phillip Glass, Shostakovich, or Alfred Schnittke.

All of this creates cognitive dissonance, as Nicole is actually quite the redneck woman at heart.

Nicole can be found stumbling around the lands of Facebook and Twitter, tapping the microphone and repeatedly asking “Is this thing on?”
