I’m thrilled to be able to pass on the news that my story “The Company Town” will appear in the forthcoming Thomas Ligotti tribute anthology The Grimscribe’s Puppets (edited by Joe Pulver and due out in late winter/early spring from Miskatonic River Press).
If you’ve been hanging around this blog for any stretch of time, you have some sense of how important this sale is to me. In my humble opinion, Thomas Ligotti is one of the finest prose stylists the horror genre has ever seen. Perhaps more importantly, he’s taken the field in an entirely new direction by focusing on the sort of chills derived from treating consciousness, itself, as a sort of hideously malleable monstrosity.
So, at the risk of trotting out a phrase that might seem trite, I’m truly honored to be a contributor to this book. Can’t wait to see the final table of contents!

Wow congrats! I know you must be extra thrilled with this story acceptance
Victoria: I am. I’ve been an admirer of Tom’s work for several years now. Feels so damned good to be included in this t.o.c.!
